Prevalence of diabetes distress and associated factors among patients with diabetes using antihypertensive medications in community health centres in Bandung City, Indonesia

Diabetes distress is common among patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM), which remains unrecognized in primary care settings. A higher level of was found T2DM comorbidities. The objectives this study are to assess the prevalence rate and its association sociodemographic factors using antihypertensive medication Bandung City, Indonesia. An observational cross-sectional survey performed six community health centres Indonesia, aged at least 18 years who were medications. subscales (emotional, regimen, interpersonal, physician-related distress) evaluated validated Distress Scale. Pearson χ2 Mann–Whitney tests associations patients’ (age, gender, insurance type, education, duration since diagnosed hypertension) distress. Of 105 participated completed (response 93.8%), most them female 60-69 years. total 38 (36.2%) had moderate-high emotional (56.2%) regimen (53.3%) as commonly reported Moderate-high significantly elderly (p 0.014) could not afford pay premium 0.012). Emotional dominant forms observed routine assessment needed comorbidity
